Booking University accommodation:

To book accommodation at Edgbaston Park Hotel or Lucas House Hotel you should either send an email to Lucy Woods or Matthew Arnott at or telephone Lucy at +44(121) 414 9780 or Matthew at +44(121) 414 9779. In either case, please quote the booking reference code of: UKSPEECHEPH (for Edgebaston Park Hotel) or UKSPEECHLH (for Lucas House) - This will enable you to book a Double Room at the rate of £128 B&B (Single occupancy) at Edgbaston Park Hotel or a King Room at the rate of £84.00 B&B (Single Occupancy) at Lucas House Hotel. This discounted rate is valid only for the night of 24.06.19. Please note that any bedrooms not reserved by 13/05/2019 will be released back on the system for general resale to the public. Guests will not be able to book using the code after this date but may be able to book at the standard rate if there is availability.

As indicated above, a number of twin rooms have been reserved at Edgbaston Park Hotel. To accommodate double occupancy an additional cost of £9.00 per person per day will be added to the originally agreed Single Occupancy rate, as this is needed to cover the cost of the additional breakfast.

Alternative accommodation:

Cheaper accommodation may be available in the city centre if you book early enough, although it is not as convenient for the meeting. For example, Premier Inn Birmingham City Centre Bridge Street Hotel (here) is by the canal near Brindley Place, where there are bars and restaurants, and currently (18th April) has rooms at £63.50.
